Terms and Conditions
1) A non-returnable 50% deposit is required before work can commence, with the balance to paid upon completion of the garment (but before delivery/collection). Cheques must be cleared before work commences, or hand-over takes place.
2) Orders cancelled after seven days will be subject to a fee of 20% of the remaining cost of the garment, plus £20 per hour for work already carried out if the garment has not been completed.
3) Notification of any design changes must be made as soon as possible. Changes in design may mean the original quote requires amendment up or down to reflect this.
Changes may not be effected once work has commenced on the final design
4) Payment methods:

UK clients only - cheques (made out in GBP) should be posted to the address below. Please send a covering letter with your cheque detailing your order, cheque guarantee card number, guaranteed amount, expiry date, contact details and delivery address. Cheques require approximately seven working days to be paid into my bank and to clear. Please make cheques out to Nicôle le Strange.

6) Mail order clients are responsible for providing accurate measures. I will of course re-measure clients at fitting sessions but in the unlikely event that there are significant discrepancies which result in the need for extra materials, the client will be liable for any expense arriving from such.
7) Force Majeure
I will not be held liable for delay or failure to deliver where such delay or failure is due to circumstances outside my reasonable control. Examples of these events may be (but are not limited to):

Postal or courier strike

Supplier strike
-
Terrorist attack
-
Natural disaster
-
Queen's enemies
-
Riot
-
Crime
8) Client details are always kept in the highest confidentiality.
9) I reserve the right to use photographs of garments for publicity purposes. I also welcome photographs of clients wearing their garments. However, privacy will always be respected and any client-submitted material will not be used if so indicated.
10) I retain all intellectual property rights for completed designs and patterns.
11) All fabric samples remain my property.
12) All toiles must be returned to me - I am unable to complete your corset without them.
13) I cannot be held responsible for non-fitting of garments arising from weight fluctuations once said garments have been completed and delivered into the care of the client. I will however, for a small fee, alter any Madame le Strange corset that is too large due to subsequent weight loss.
14) Quotes do not include expenses resulting from my having to travel to you for fittings. Although clients usually come to my atelier for fittings, I am happy to travel a reasonable to distance to fit you in your own home. Any expenses incurred will be charged at cost, plus £20 per hour travelling and consultation time.
15) By ordering a garment from Madame le Strange, you agree to these terms and conditions.
