Shipping and delivery information

Postage and packing within the UK is £12.00 for the first corset, POA for multiple corsets. The reason for this is because I use Royal Mail's Guaranteed Next Day Delivery service, as this offers the best insurance cover. After all, you are paying several hundred pounds for your corset - you want to make sure it will get to you, don't you? So do I!

For international shipping rates, please contact me for a quote. Please also remember that shipments outside the EU must by law, display a customs form, declaring the full value of the goods. Please don't ask me to mark your corset as a gift, as this would be both illegal and unethical. Therefore, you must be aware that you may be liable to customs fees or duties in accordance to your own country/state's laws. This is solely your responsibility.

Toiles

Also known as mock-ups or muslins. This is a rough draft of your corset, which is made from a single layer of strong fabric, with bones, a busk and lacing fitted. This is what will be used to determine fit, either during a personal fitting, or by post.

If fitting by post, you will need to try it on and mark any adjustments and alterations that may need to be made. In addition, I shall need to see several photographs of you wearing it (front, sides and back views), with the adjustments clearly marked. If your corset is to be worn over clothing, then please wear something underneath. If it is to be worn next to the skin, then please don't wear anything (other than knickers/pants) - modesty will not aid you in your quest for a perfectly fitting corset, and I promise you that I will only be looking at the corset, not your assets!

If you decide that no adjustments need to be made, then I shall trust your judgement; however, you must be aware that should this be the case, and you're not happy with the final fit of your corset, I cannot accept any liability. If you do not have at least one personal fitting, or do not ask me to make any changes to the toile, I can only make your corset according to your instructions.

The cost of the toile is included in the price of your bespoke corset but you are responsible for shipping it back to me. I'd prefer you to use a signed-for postage service because if it goes astray, then neither of us have any recourse if you've only used a standard first or second class service. Please also be aware that the longer you keep the toile, the more this adds to my lead time. I do appreciate however, that we all have off days, and that you may wish to wait for a short while before fitting.

All toiles must be returned to me even if no adjustments are necessary. I cannot complete your corset until I receive the toile back as I have to disassemble it in order to make the final pattern!

Returns

Madame le Strange corsets are guaranteed to be as agreed upon with the client, and free from defect. However, in the unlikely event of a defective garment, it should be returned within 14 days of despatch to be repaired or replaced. Returns are only accepted if the garment is found to be defective. However, I am proud to say that I have never had anything returned!
